United States Lauren Carlini is an Olympic silver medalist and a highly accomplished volleyball player who has transitioned her expertise from international competition to strategic coaching and brand collaborations.
USA Volleyball announced a multi-year deal with adidas, and setter Lauren Carlini was chosen as the new face of adidas volleyball. This partnership was part of a broader initiative where adidas partnered with 16 USA Volleyball athletes.

Lauren Carlini is a founding player for LOVB Madison, a professional volleyball team. She also participated in the SPORT BEACH Content Studio at Cannes Lions with Jordan Thompson, another LOVB athlete.
Lauren Carlini was born on February 28, 1995, in Geneva, Illinois, and grew up in Aurora, Illinois. Her volleyball career began early, joining club indoor volleyball in 2000. She attended West Aurora High School, where she was recognized for her talent, earning the prestigious Gatorade National Volleyball Player of the Year award in 2012. Carlini’s collegiate career at the University of Wisconsin spanned from 2013 to 2016. During this period, she made history as the first player in the program to be named a four-time All-American. She led the Wisconsin Badgers to their first NCAA tournament appearance since 2005 and their first championship match since 2000 in her freshman year. Her exceptional performance also earned her the Big Ten Player of the Year in 2014 and the AAU James E. Sullivan Award in 2017, recognizing her as America’s best amateur athlete.
Following her collegiate success, Carlini embarked on an international professional career, playing for various clubs in Italy, Russia, and Turkey. Her club career included stints with Savino Del Bene Scandicci (2017–2018), Igor Gorgonzola Novara (2018–2019), Dinamo Moscow (2019–2020), Türk Hava Yolları (2020–2022), Casalmaggiore (2022–2023), and Aydın Büyükşehir Belediyespor (2023–2024). She also became a prominent member of the United States women’s national volleyball team from 2016 to 2024. During this time, she earned a silver medal at the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Cup, a gold medal at the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League, and two gold medals at the Pan-American Cup in 2017 and 2018. Carlini was an Olympic alternate for the 2020 Summer Olympics and later a silver medalist at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, after which she announced her retirement from the national team.
In 2025, Carlini joined LOVB Madison, competing in the league’s inaugural season. Expanding her involvement in the sport, she was hired by the University of Wisconsin in September 2024 as an offensive analyst and strategy consultant, bringing her extensive playing experience and strategic understanding to the collegiate coaching ranks. Her career highlights include participating in the Youth World Championship in Ankara in 2011 and achieving a 4th place finish at the World Championships in 2022.
