Chiaka Ogbogu
Chiaka Ogbogu is a hugely talented American volleyball player who is a valued member of the United States women’s volleyball team, whom she represented at the 2018 Pan-American Cup and both the 2018 and 2019 FIVB Volleyball Nations League tournaments. She realized a lifelong ambition in 2020 after winning a gold medal with her team at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo. At the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship she was named Best Middle Blocker.
Ogbogu has crafted a fantastic career for herself at clubs in Italy, Poland and Turkey. In the 2018/2019 Polish Cup, she won the Polish Cup with top-flight team Chemik Police. In the following season she won the 2019 Italian Supercup with Imoco Volley Conegliano, as well as the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship in the same year. More recently she has seen great success with the prestigious Turkish club VakıfBank S.K., after winning the 2021/2022 CEV Champions League with them.
