Danay Garcia achieved international recognition in 2007 with her significant breakthrough role as Sofia Lugo in the popular Fox series Prison Break, a role she maintained for the final two seasons and which garnered her widespread exposure. Prior to this, Garcia gained early experience in film and television, including the feature film Danika (2006) alongside Marisa Tomei. Garcias career trajectory continued to expand with appearances across various acclaimed television series such as CSI: Miami, CSI: NY (2009), and Supernatural (2013). Her film portfolio also broadened to include From Mexico with Love (2009), Peep World (2010), and the critically acclaimed Eternal Ashes (2011), which earned recognition at the Montreal Film Festival.
She also starred in Liz in September (2014), directed by Fina Torres.
