Daniel Handler is an American author, musician, and screenwriter, recognized for his prolific fictional works both under his own name and his renowned pseudonym, Lemony Snicket. After launching the critically acclaimed ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’ under his renowned pseudonym Lemony Snicket in 1999, Daniel Handler established himself as a prolific author, musician, and screenwriter. This 13-novel series, chronicling the misadventures of the Baudelaire orphans, became a global phenomenon, culminating in its final installment in 2006. Handler simultaneously launched his adult fiction career, with the publication of his debut novel ‘The Basic Eight’ in 1999, followed by ‘Watch Your Mouth’ in 2000.

In 2017, Handler also made his theatrical debut with the play ‘Imaginary Comforts,’ which premiered at the esteemed Berkeley Repertory Theatre. Demonstrating entrepreneurial vision, Handler founded Per Diem Press in 2016. Most recently, Handler published the novel ‘Bottle Grove’ in 2019, followed by ‘And Then? And Then?
