Danny Mcbride

Danny McBride is an American actor, comedian, writer, and producer known for his distinct comedic style and collaborative work on television series such as “Eastbound & Down,” “Vice Principals,” and “The Righteous Gemstones,” alongside prominent film roles. After gaining widespread recognition as Fred Simmons in the 2006 low-budget comedy film The Foot Fist Way, which he co-wrote with Jody Hill and Ben Best, Danny McBride went on to solidify his comedic presence with starring roles in films such as Hot Rod (2007), Pineapple Express (2008), and Tropic Thunder (2008). Earlier in his career, McBride contributed as a second unit director for David Gordon Green’s George Washington in 2000 and made his acting debut in Green’s All the Real Girls in 2003. A pivotal moment came with his lead role as Kenny Powers in the critically acclaimed HBO television series Eastbound & Down (2009–2013), a show he also co-created and wrote.

Concurrently, he created and stars in the acclaimed HBO series The Righteous Gemstones, which premiered in 2019 and is slated to continue through 2025. Most recently, McBride expanded his producing credits as an executive producer for the true crime documentary series Telemarketers (2023), which earned him a Primetime Emmy Award nomination in 2024. In 2024, he also ventured into the spirits industry with the launch of his own Don Gato tequila brand, further diversifying his professional portfolio beyond film and television production.
