Danny Ramirez

Danny Ramirez was born on September 17, 1992, in Chicago, Illinois, and raised in Miami, Florida. Of Colombian and Mexican descent, he initially pursued athletics, playing American football and soccer. After sustaining injuries, he shifted his focus to acting, enrolling in the New York University Tisch School of the Arts. Ramirez began his acting career with minor roles in television in 2016, appearing in Showtime’s “The Affair” and NBC’s “Blindspot.” His early career progression included a recurring role as Wes in Fox’s “The Gifted” (2017) and a guest appearance in “Orange Is the New Black” (2017). From 2018 to 2019, he had a recurring role on Netflix’s “On My Block.” Ramirez made his film debut in Sam Levinson’s “Assassination Nation” (2018), which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.

Ramirez’s career gained significant momentum with his involvement in large-scale productions. In August 2018, it was announced he would join the cast of “Top Gun: Maverick,” a film that faced several delays but was eventually released in May 2022. He also entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2021, portraying Joaquin Torres in the Disney+ series “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.” He later reprised this role in the 2025 film “Captain America: Brave New World,” where his character assumes the mantle of Falcon. The year 2022 was particularly active for Ramirez, with lead roles in films such as “No Exit” and “Look Both Ways,” alongside Lili Reinhart, and a starring role in “Stars at Noon.”

In early 2024, Ramirez co-founded the production company Pinstripes with Tom Culliver, aiming to produce unique stories. He also made his directorial debut with the sports drama film “Baton,” produced by Victoria Alonso and David Beckham. His upcoming projects include “Avengers: Doomsday” (2026), where he will continue his role as Falcon, and an adaptation of “Scarface.” Additionally, Ramirez appeared as Manny in the second season of HBO’s “The Last of Us” in April 2025. His achievements were recognized early in his career when he was honored as the “Rising Star” at the Third Annual NYU Stonestreet Granite Awards in 2018.
