Danny Worsnop

Danny Worsnop was born on September 4, 1990, in Beverley, England, and grew up in Gilberdyke. His musical journey began at an early age, learning instruments like the violin and trumpet before gravitating towards guitar and bass, influenced by rock and metal. Initially planning a military career as a sniper, the early success of Asking Alexandria shifted his focus entirely to music.

Worsnop is best known as the lead vocalist of the rock bands Asking Alexandria and We Are Harlot. He co-founded Asking Alexandria in 2008, moving to Nottingham, England, to reassemble the band after its initial formation in Dubai. The band released their debut album, “Stand Up and Scream,” in 2009, followed by “Reckless and Relentless” (2011) and “From Death to Destiny” (2013), which became their most commercially successful album. Worsnop departed from Asking Alexandria in 2015 to focus on his new band, We Are Harlot, and solo endeavors, eventually rejoining Asking Alexandria in 2016. He has also collaborated with numerous artists, including Papa Roach, All That Remains, and I See Stars.

Beyond his band work, Worsnop has established a solo career, releasing his debut country-inspired album, “The Long Road Home,” in 2017, and “Shades of Blue” in 2019. He has also ventured into other media, including acting roles in films like “What Now” and “Alleluia! The Devil’s Carnival,” and has released a photobook titled “Dark Horse” in 2023. These diverse undertakings highlight his multifaceted artistic and entrepreneurial spirit.
