Detox, a prominent drag performer and recording artist, gained international recognition through her appearances on the fifth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, where she placed fourth, and later as a runner-up on the second season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars in 2016. Before her breakthrough on the reality competition series, Detox established a strong presence in the Southern California drag scene, appearing in music videos for artists such as Ke$ha and Rihanna. She is also a long-standing member of Chad Michaels’ Dreamgirls Revue and a member of the band Tranzkuntinental, formed by Charlie Paulson and Xander Smith, alongside other notable drag queens. In March 2012, Detox achieved viral success as part of the drag trio DWV (Detox, Willam, and Vicky Vox), co-writing and appearing in the parody music video ‘Chow Down.’ The group continued its impactful run with several other successful parody singles, including the 2013 hit ‘Boy is a Bottom,’ which debuted impressively at number six on Billboard’s Comedy Digital Songs chart.

Detox has also been a featured personality across various digital platforms, including the web series ‘Hey Qween!’ and ‘Very Delta.’ Most recently, in August 2024, Detox publicly came out as transgender during a performance at Drag Night Chicago, a fundraiser for Drag PAC, using her platform to foster advocacy and entertainment within the LGBTQ+ community. This commitment underscores her influential role across music, television, film, and vital social initiatives, contributing significantly to her recognition as an impactful figure in drag and broader entertainment.
