United States Detox, a prominent drag performer and recording artist, gained international recognition through her appearances on RuPaul's Drag Race and RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars. She uses her platform for entertainment and advocacy, recently coming out as transgender.

Deandra Sanderson, known professionally as Detox Icunt, or simply Detox, was born on June 3, 1985. She established herself in the Southern California drag scene before achieving broader recognition. Detox has appeared in various music videos for artists such as Ke$ha and Rihanna, and is a member of Chad Michaels’ Dreamgirls Revue, a long-running female-impersonation show in California. She is also part of the band Tranzkuntinental, formed by Charlie Paulson and Xander Smith, alongside other drag queens like Kelly Mantle, Rhea Litré, Vicky Vox, and Willam Belli.
In March 2012, Detox gained viral attention as part of the drag trio DWV (Detox, Willam, and Vicky Vox), co-writing and appearing in the parody music video “Chow Down.” The group released several other successful parody singles, including “Boy is a Bottom” (2013), which debuted at number six on Billboard’s Comedy Digital Songs chart. Detox further solidified her presence in the entertainment industry by competing on the fifth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, where she placed fourth, and later as a runner-up on the second season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars in 2016. Her acting credits include the 2017 film “Cherry Pop” and the 2018-2021 TV series “Drag Tots.
Detox has continued to release music as a solo artist, including singles like “This Is How We Jew It” (2015) and “I Like It Like That” (2018). In August 2024, she publicly came out as transgender, using she/they pronouns, during a performance at Drag Night Chicago, a fundraiser for Drag PAC. This announcement was confirmed through a comment on a viral TikTok. She has also been involved in various web series, including “Hey Qween!” and “Very Delta.” Her work spans music, television, film, and advocacy within the LGBTQ+ community, contributing to her recognition as an influential figure in drag and broader entertainment.
