Jeremy Wang is better known as Disguised Toast — “the greatest name in gaming history” according to comedian Conan O’Brien. He is an award-winning internet personality and digital streamer with a massive audience — he currently has over 3.7 million YouTube subscribers, 2.6 million Twitch subscribers, 1.6 million Twitter followers, 917,000 Instagram followers, and 302,000 TikTok followers. In 2021, he was included in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 for gaming, and in 2022, he won the Streamer Award for Best Strategy Game Streamer. Games he has recently streamed himself playing include Just Chatting, MultiVersus, and VALORANT. He has won notable online tournaments playing Hearthstone and League of Legends.
Wang was born in Taiwan but grew up in Malaysia before moving to Canada where his older brother was attending university. A fan of the game Hearthstone, he began making online videos of his gameplay in 2015, disguising himself with a toast-shaped cardboard mask. He eventually revealed his true identity (by accident) a year later, but the name stuck and his fame steadily grew across various streaming sites until, in late 2020, he had a surge of interest, gaining over 400 million YouTube views in just four months.
In 2019, Disguised Toast temporarily left Twitch to stream exclusively on Facebook Gaming, but two years later, he returned to Twitch and still regularly streams from there with his viewer counts regularly reaching well into six figures. He is also one of the original members of OfflineTV, an influential group of content creators who live and work in Los Angeles.
