Dr. Davin Lim is an Australian Board-Certified Laser, Procedural, and Aesthetic Dermatologist and a member of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine. His training commenced in 2001 as the first Australian to receive training under the Irish Association of Dermatologists, undertaking residency in Dublin and Drogheda. This early training exposed him to both UK and US dermatology syllabuses. In 2003, he continued his British Association of Dermatologists training in the United Kingdom, where he was awarded a Royal Society of Medicine Registrar’s Prize. Upon completing his board exams in Australia, after training at the Royal Brisbane and Princess Alexandra Hospitals focusing on cosmetic and laser dermatology, Dr. Lim further expanded his knowledge internationally through travel across Asia and the US.
Dr. Lim has become a leading expert in laser-treated skin disorders and rejuvenation therapies. He has developed new cosmetic procedures, including advanced delivery protocols for TCA CROSS and hybrid laser resurfacing, which have influenced aesthetic dermatology practices. His expertise is regularly recognized through invitations to join various advisory boards, including those for Galderma, Fraxel, Syneron Candela, La Roche Posay, and Allergan. Dr. Lim has also contributed to the field through over 20 credits published in international journals and presentations at numerous conferences. He oversees the laser and cosmetic division at Cutis Clinic, specializing in acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, and vascular conditions using diverse laser types, chemical peels, and cosmetic injections.
In 2007, Dr. Lim established Westside Dermatology, which grew from a single consultation room into a comprehensive facility featuring 14 consultant rooms, 3 operating theaters, 6 laser suites, and an in-house compounding skin pharmacy. In 2011, he partnered with Dr. Shobhan Manoharan. His contributions to the field were recognized with the Top Global 100 award by Realself.com in 2016. Furthermore, Dr. Lim has established a significant online presence, with his YouTube channel achieving over 55 million views and more than 330,000 subscribers by 2020. He also founded The Formulated, Fiori Institute of Skin and Body, Cutis, Cutis Medical, Cutis International, Sweat Free Clinics, and co-founded The Psoriasis Institute and Westside Laser Dermatology.
