Laura Woods was born on July 2, 1987, in Dagenham, London, England. She pursued her education in print journalism at Kingston University. Her career in broadcasting began in 2009 at Sky Sports, where she started as a runner and steadily advanced through various production roles, including editorial assistant, assistant producer, associate producer, and producer. This foundational period provided her with an in-depth understanding of sports media operations.

Woods transitioned into presenting by covering behind-the-scenes content for Sky Sports’ darts coverage on their YouTube channel. Her on-screen presence expanded to include the Saturday morning children’s show ‘Game Changers,’ followed by reporting assignments for the NFL. She also became part of the Soccer AM online presenting team, which involved live broadcasts from Euro 2016 in France. By 2018, Woods was a regular pitch-side reporter for ‘Super Sunday’ before her departure from Sky Sports in 2022. She also worked with DAZN, hosting boxing and Women’s Champions League coverage until July 2023.

Her career continued with significant roles, including joining ITV in August 2022 to co-host an NFL highlights show, and in July 2023, she became the lead presenter for UEFA Champions League and boxing coverage for TNT Sports. Woods also led ITV’s broadcast of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. In radio, she became the main presenter for talkSPORT’s breakfast show from March 2020 until her departure in June 2023. She has achieved recognition, being twice voted the SJA Sports Presenter of the Year.
