Dustin Wallace Milligan, born on July 28, 1985, in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada, began his career in the early 2000s, quickly accumulating a diverse range of acting credits. His early work included appearances in films such as “Final Destination 3” (2006), “Slither” (2006), and “Extract” (2009). On television, he was cast in “Runaway” (2006) and gained wider recognition for his role as Ethan Ward in The CW’s “90210” from 2008 to 2009. These roles marked the initial phase of a career characterized by consistent engagement in both dramatic and comedic projects across various platforms.
Milligan’s career progressed with significant roles in prominent television series. He became widely known for his portrayal of Ted Mullens, the veterinarian, in the Emmy Award-winning series “Schitt’s Creek” (2015–2020), appearing in 43 episodes. Concurrently, he took on the main role of Tom Cummings in the spy thriller series “X Company” (2015–2016) and Sgt. Hugo Friedkin in “Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency” (2016–2017). His film work continued with projects like “A Simple Favor” (2018) and “The People We Hate at the Wedding” (2022). More recently, he has been part of “Rutherford Falls” (2021–2022) and has an executive producer credit on the documentary “Food for the Rest of Us” (2021).
