Dwight Freeney

Dwight Freeney, a Pro Football Hall of Famer, established himself as a dominant force in collegiate football before an impactful 16-season NFL career. After a distinguished tenure at Syracuse University from 1998 to 2001, where he was a two-year starter, Freeney led the nation with 17.5 sacks in his senior 2001 season and concluded his college career with 34 sacks, placing him second in school history. He was recognized as a unanimous first-team All-American in 2001 and was later inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2023. This formidable college performance led to his selection by the Indianapolis Colts as the 11th overall pick in the 2002 NFL Draft.
