Dylan Bruce

Dylan Bruce was born on April 21, 1980, in Vancouver, British Columbia, and was raised in Boundary Bay. He attended the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington, where he earned degrees in Drama and Economics. His career began with modeling work in Seattle through the Seattle Models Guild, and he appeared on the cover of Daily Variety in November 2004. Bruce then moved to Los Angeles, California, to pursue acting.

Bruce began his acting career in 2005 with a role as Counter Terrorist Unit Agent Martin Kail in the mobile-only spin-off series “24: Conspiracy.” The same year, he guest-starred in two episodes of the NBC soap opera “Passions” and appeared on the sitcom “Joey.” In 2006, he had roles in “The Sopranos” and the reality series “Breaking Up with Shannen Doherty.” His notable early television work included playing Anthony on “Las Vegas” in 2007, followed by a significant role as Chris Hughes on the CBS daytime soap opera “As the World Turns” from 2007 to 2008. He also made his big screen debut in the Denzel Washington film “Unstoppable” in 2010.

His career advanced with appearances in the Hallmark Channel film “Love’s Christmas Journey” in 2011 and Lifetime’s thriller “Willed to Kill” in 2012. From 2013 to 2016, Bruce co-starred as Paul Dierden in the BBC America and Space series “Orphan Black,” a role he enjoyed researching, particularly the military aspects of his character. He also had a recurring role as Adam Donner on The CW’s “Arrow” from 2013 to 2014. In 2014, he starred as Bart Winslow in the Lifetime TV movies “Flowers in the Attic” and its sequel, “Petals on the Wind.” More recently, he featured in NBC’s “Midnight, Texas” for two seasons (2017-2018) and as Detective Nolan Wells in the first season of “The Murders” on CityTV in 2019. He continues to appear in various television productions, including “Sex/Life” (2023), “Virgin River” (2023), and “The Spiderwick Chronicles” (2024).
