Elaine Hendrix is an accomplished American actress, producer, and director, known for her diverse roles across film and television, including notable performances in ‘The Parent Trap’ and ‘Dynasty’. After a successful early career as a professional dancer and model for prominent brands such as Nike, Levi’s, Mattel, and Sun Microsystems, and appearing in hip-hop music videos for artists including Whodini, Keith Sweat, and M.C. Hammer, Elaine Hendrix transitioned into acting in Los Angeles in 1992. She quickly secured an agent, beginning her television career with commercials and guest appearances before landing a starring role in the 1995 Fox revival of Get Smart.
She reprised the role of Truvy in Steel Magnolias at Bucks County Playhouse in 2016 and appeared in Christmas at Pemberley Manor (2018) and a recurring role as Susan Andrews in Proven Innocent (2019). From 2019 to 2022, she took on the prominent role of Alexis Carrington Colby in The CW’s Dynasty reboot, further cementing her presence in mainstream television. Beyond her entertainment career, Hendrix adopted a vegan lifestyle in 2006 and founded The Pet Matchmaker, an organization dedicated to promoting the rescue, foster, and adoption of homeless pets, actively working with various organizations globally to support animal welfare. Looking ahead to 2025, Hendrix is slated to appear in Freakier Friday, where she will reunite with her The Parent Trap co-star Lindsay Lohan.
