Elizabeth Gillies

Elizabeth Egan Gillies, also known as Liz Gillies, was born on July 26, 1993, in Haworth, New Jersey. Her career began at the age of twelve, featuring in commercials before landing a recurring role in three episodes of “The Black Donnellys” in 2007. In 2008, she made her Broadway debut in the musical “13” as Lucy, a significant step in her early career, where she also met future co-star Ariana Grande. This early exposure set the foundation for her extensive work in both acting and music.

Her breakthrough came in 2010 with the role of Jade West in the Nickelodeon series “Victorious,” which ran until 2013 for 56 episodes. During this period, Gillies contributed significantly to the show’s soundtracks, releasing songs like “Give It Up” and “Take a Hint,” the latter achieving platinum certification from the RIAA and silver from BPI. She also voiced Daphne in Nickelodeon’s “Winx Club” from 2011 to 2014, and appeared in other Nickelodeon shows and guest roles on “White Collar” and “The Exes.” These projects showcased her talent in both acting and singing, establishing her as a multifaceted performer.

Gillies transitioned into mainstream roles with film appearances in the horror film “Animal” (2014) and the comedy “Vacation” (2015). From 2015 to 2016, she starred as Gigi Rock in the FX comedy series “Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll,” further expanding her acting repertoire. Her most notable role in recent years is Fallon Carrington in The CW’s “Dynasty” reboot, which she led for 108 episodes from 2017 to 2022. During this time, she also took on the role of Alexis Carrington temporarily. Her commitment to both music and acting continued into the 2020s, with an EP, “Songs from Home” (2021), a Christmas album, “We Wish You the Merriest” (2023), and a return to Broadway in 2025 for “Little Shop of Horrors.”
