Jack Hughes

Jack Hughes is a professional ice hockey center for the New Jersey Devils, known for his dynamic playmaking and goal-scoring abilities. After a standout career in the USA Hockey National Team Development Program (NTDP), Jack Hughes led the Under-18 team with 112 points (34 goals, 78 assists) in 50 games during the 2018-19 season. This elite performance resulted in him becoming the fifth NTDP player selected first overall in the NHL Draft. Hughes holds NTDP records for assists (154) and points (228) in 110 games over two seasons.

The 2021-22 season marked a breakout, with Hughes registering 56 points (26 goals, 30 assists) in 49 games. His commitment was formalized on November 30, 2021, signing an eight-year, $64 million contract extension with the Devils. Hughes further highlighted his scoring prowess with his first NHL hat trick on November 26, 2022, against the Washington Capitals. The 2022-23 season showcased Hughes’ peak performance, achieving career-highs of 43 goals, 56 assists, and 99 points.

Recognized for his consistent elite performance, Hughes has been named to the NHL All-Star Game three consecutive times (2022, 2023, 2024).
