France’s Estelle Lefebure has been one of the most popular models in her home country for over 35 years. She has also enjoyed great success in America, gracing the covers of Vogue and Elle in the States and being rated as one of the 50 most beautiful people in the world by People magazine. Despite, or perhaps because of her many years in show business, she is as in demand today as she ever. An actress as well as a model, her recent work includes a role in the fourth season of French comedy-crime series, Munch. She is popular on social media, too, with over 205,000 followers on Instagram.
Born in Rouen, Lefebure began modelling in 1985 when she was 19 years old. After finding initial success in Paris, she relocated to New York in the late 1980s, fronting campaigns for the likes of Cartier, Christian Dior, Guess, Lord & Taylor, Revlon, and Samsung. In 1992, she starred in the music video for the late George Michael’s ‘Too Funky’, a worldwide top-10 hit still regarded as one of the greatest dance songs of all time (at the time of writing, the video has been watched 33 million times on YouTube).
From the early Noughties onwards, Lefebure began to take on acting roles, appearing in various shows and movies. In 2007, she landed her first major role, starring in a French-language horror film called Frontière(s). In 2012, she took part in some lighter viewing, appearing on the third season of Danse Avec les Stars .
