Recognised for his electric blue hair and statement dress sense, Fat Mike is a one of a kind. From international tours to ground stomping tunes, Fat Mike has headed up the witty punk movement since his stage debut. Alongside NOFX, Fat Mike is also part of the punk rock supergroup Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. Now a global star, Fat Mike has led an illustrious career to date.
Fat Mike has played a pivotal role in the wave of popular American punk. From providing vocals for the Dropkick Murphy’s anthem, Going Out In Style to featuring on the Lunachicks song, Missed it, Fat Mike has been at the centre of the music scene for decades. A man with a vision, Fat Mike’s record label Fat Wreck Records has become one of the most successful independent labels in North America as a result. Out of Fat Mike’s natural flair for entertainment, Cokie the Clown was born. He has appeared as the alter ego prank clown at the likes of the South by Southwest Festival, where Fat Mike famously tricked several audience members into drinking tequila.
Beyond NOFX, Fat Mike is the mastermind behind the hit Broadway show, Home Street Home which he co-wrote with Soma Snakeoil and Jeff Marx. From there, Fat Mike went on to lovingly score the acclaimed BDSM film Rubber Bordello. His work on the film earned Fat Mike 3 AVN Awards, including best soundtrack and best song. More recently, Fat Mike has reprised the role of Cokie the Clown in his solo album, You’re Welcome alongside Travis Barker and Dizzy Reed. As Fat Mike continues to push the limits of his craft, he will be entertaining and inspiring his fans for years to come.
