Fiona Gubelmann

Fiona Gubelmann was born on March 30, 1980, in Santa Monica, California. Her interest in performing began in preschool, leading her to participate in dance and local community theater throughout her childhood and teenage years. She attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), initially pursuing a pre-medical major. However, after successfully auditioning for a play during her freshman year, she changed her major to theater, graduating in 2002. Following her graduation, she further honed her acting skills at the Beverly Hills Playhouse, notably performing with the organization’s Katselas Theater Company.

Gubelmann made her television acting debut in 2003 on the UPN sitcom “The Mullets,” and her film debut in 2004 with the comedy “Employee of the Month.” Over the subsequent years, she appeared in various television series as a guest star and in several films. A significant turning point in her career came with her role as Jenna Mueller in the critically acclaimed FX comedy series “Wilfred,” which she starred in from 2011 to 2014. Her performance in “Wilfred” established her as a prominent actress in television.

Her career continued to advance with leading roles in various projects. In 2016, she starred in the successful Hallmark film “Tulips in Spring,” the independent film “911 Nightmare,” and the Lifetime film “Mommy’s Little Girl.” By 2017, she was part of two new series, playing Lori in the Netflix/Norman Lear series “One Day at a Time” and starring as Heather Flynn-Kellogg in the Star Jones-produced series “Daytime Divas.” Her most current hit role is Dr. Morgan Reznick in “The Good Doctor,” where she began in a recurring capacity in the first season (2018) and was promoted to a main role from the second season (2018) through 2024, appearing in 113 episodes. She is also slated to appear as Princess Victoria of Zelarnia in the upcoming 2025 TV movie “A Royal Montana Christmas,” where she also serves as a producer.
