“Gabi”, or Gabriela Guimarães is a famous Brazilian indoor volleyball player who represents her nation in the outside spiker position as part of the Brazilian team. She had the great honor of competing at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, winning a silver medal in the process. Guimarães is perhaps one of the most decorated volleyball players in the history of the sport, boasting a wealth of trophies at both club-level and internationally, as well as a countless number of individual awards. She is a Nike athlete and one of the most followed players in the game.
She has won the Brazilian Superliga in six separate seasons with Unilever Vôlei, Rexona-Ades and Itambé Minas. She also won the South American Club Championship on five separate occasions. More recently she has seen amazing success with the top-flight Turkish club VakıfBank S.K., with whom she won the Turkish Super Cup in 2021, the Turkish League in 2020/2021 as well as both the 2021 FIVB Club World Championship and 2021/2022 CEV Champions League. Her international victories are equally numerous, including golds at the World Grand Prix in 2013, 2014 and 2016, as well as golds in the South American Championship in 2013, 2015 and 2021.
