Guy Burnet was born on August 8 in England. He developed an interest in drama while attending Holland Park School. Before pursuing acting, Burnet had aspirations of becoming a professional footballer and trained at Queens Park Rangers Football School, participating in trials and playing in various locations across Europe. He also engaged in amateur boxing and MMA, even directing a documentary about WBU featherweight title holder Derry Mathews. Burnet continues to play football, having participated in a charity match at Wembley Stadium in 2007.
Burnet’s acting career began in 2002 when he joined the cast of the UK soap opera ‘Hollyoaks’ as Craig Dean. His role in a storyline involving his character’s relationship with John Paul McQueen gained recognition. After five years on ‘Hollyoaks’, Burnet transitioned to the New York stage, earning positive reviews for his performance as a young American attorney in ‘Murder in the First’. He then moved into U.S. television and film.
His career includes appearances in Showtime’s ‘Ray Donovan’ (2015) and ‘The Affair’ (2016). He also appeared in Amazon’s ‘Hand of God’ (2017) and alongside J.K. Simmons in ‘Counterpart’ (2018-2019). Burnet starred in ‘The Feed’ (2019), an Amazon-BBC sci-fi drama. More recently, he played George Eltenton in Christopher Nolan’s film ‘Oppenheimer’ (2023) and Theodore Chips in the Netflix series ‘FUBAR’ (2025). Upcoming projects include ‘Landman’ (2025), ‘Reykjavik’, and ‘The Beast’.
