Helen Mirren

Helen Mirren is an accomplished actress recognized for her extensive work across film, television, and stage, consistently delivering critically acclaimed performances. After launching her professional acting path with a notable portrayal of Cleopatra in the National Youth Theatre’s production of ‘Antony and Cleopatra’ at the Old Vic in 1965, Helen Mirren was invited to join the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) in 1966. With the RSC, she performed as Castiza in Trevor Nunn’s ‘The Revenger’s Tragedy’ (1966), Diana in ‘All’s Well That Ends Well’ (1967), and Lady Macbeth in 1974. Mirren transitioned to film with her first credited role in ‘Herostratus’ (1967) and a major role in ‘Age of Consent’ (1969).

Her stage work continued to garner accolades, including a Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress (2013) and a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play (2015) for her role as Elizabeth II in ‘The Audience’. In 2017, she joined the blockbuster ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise with ‘The Fate of the Furious’. Mirren received the prestigious Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award in 2022. Most recently, she portrayed Golda Meir in the 2023 film ‘Golda’ and lent her voice to the acclaimed 2023 film ‘Barbie’.
