Hope Hicks

Hope Charlotte Hicks, born on October 21, 1988, in Greenwich, Connecticut, built a career in public relations before transitioning into political advisory roles. Her early professional life included work with the New York City firm Zeno Group and later with Hiltzik Strategies. At Hiltzik Strategies, she engaged with accounts related to Donald Trump’s business ventures, including his daughter Ivanka Trump’s fashion line, and modeled for online stores. In August 2014, Hicks joined The Trump Organization full-time, working directly for Donald Trump from October 2014.

In January 2015, Hicks assumed the role of press secretary for Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, despite having no prior political campaign experience. She managed press inquiries, handling over 250 requests daily, and served as a gatekeeper to media access for Trump. Her responsibilities also included taking dictation from Trump for his tweets. After Trump’s election, Hicks joined the administration as the White House director of strategic communications in December 2016. She was appointed interim White House communications director in August 2017 and officially held the position until her resignation in March 2018.

Following her initial departure from the White House, Hicks served as chief communications officer and executive vice president for Fox Corporation from March 2018 to March 2020. She returned to the White House in March 2020 as an aide to Jared Kushner and counselor to President Trump, serving until January 2021. In August 2025, Hicks was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Devil May Care Media, Megyn Kelly’s media company, where she oversees business development, operations, and the expansion of its podcast and digital content network. Her career has been marked by key positions in high-profile political and corporate communication environments.
