WWE superstar Humberto Carrillo is a Mexican professional wrestler. Carrillo was a Crash Tag Team Champion in Crash Lucha Libre and won the Crown Jewel battle in 2019 to earn a shot at the US Championship title.
Born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico, wrestling is in Carrillo’s blood. The nephew of legendary Mexican professional wrestler Hector Garza and the cousin of current WWE wrestler Angel Garza, it was no surprise when Carrillo began to pursue a career in the sport, and he began wrestling in Mexico under the ring name Último Ninja. After victory over The Beast and Genocida after teaming up with El Ninja Jr in 2012, he continued to wrestle in his home country for the next six years in different wrestling promotions including The Crash Lucha Libre, Casanova Pro, Chilanga Mask, Nueva Generacion Xtrema and Casanova Pro.
Carrillo began competing for the WWE in 2018, making his first appearance on NXT against Jaxson Ryker. He then joined the 205 Live Roster and competed at the WWE Worlds Collide Tournament, defeating Gran Metalik to score his first win on the brand.
In 2019 Carrillo was drafted to RAW, clinching his first win on the main roster when he teamed with Randy Orton and Ricochet to defeat The O.C. Carrillo has been involved with several fascinating feuds and rivalries, one with his real-life cousin Angel Garza, and with Irish wrestler Sheamus. The pair faced each other for the United States Championship title on the May 10th episode of Raw, but an unfortunate injury to Carrillo’s knee caused the referee to stop the match. However, as his many fans will attest, Carrillo always comes back stronger and there is much more to come from the Mexican superstar.
