Iluminate

Iluminate, a theatrical and technology company headquartered in New York City, was founded in 2009 by Miral Kotb, a software engineer with a passion for dance. Kotb successfully combined her two primary interests to develop patented technology that enables performers to wear customized wireless lighting programs, choreographing extraordinary lighting effects with dynamic dance movements. This innovative approach allows dancers to perform in darkened environments, with their suits illuminated by electroluminescent wire and LEDs, creating unique visual spectacles.

The company gained widespread recognition following its appearance on the sixth season of America’s Got Talent in 2011, where it was named “Best New Act in America” and ultimately secured third place. This exposure served as a significant turning point, propelling Iluminate into the national and international spotlight. Since then, Iluminate has expanded its reach, performing in over 15 countries and appearing on various television programs and awards shows, showcasing its distinct fusion of cutting-edge technology and artistic expression.

Demonstrating continued growth and innovation, Iluminate launched its own live theatrical event in Las Vegas at The Strat. The show, inaugurated on August 26, 2021, blends music, dance, technology, and art. On March 6, 2022, Iluminate celebrated its 100th performance at The STRAT Theater, further solidifying its presence in live entertainment. The company continues to tour globally, engaging diverse audiences with its unique performance style.
