Insane Clown Posse, comprised of Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope, has carved out a distinct niche in hip-hop, blending horrorcore themes with theatrical live performances and fostering a dedicated global fanbase known as Juggalos. After establishing their independent record label, Psychopathic Records, in 1991, Insane Clown Posse, comprised of Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope, released their debut EP, ‘Dog Beats,’ the same year. Their first single, ‘Party at the Top of the Hill,’ was released in 1989, setting the stage for their distinctive horrorcore sound. The duo followed with their debut album, ‘Carnival of Carnage,’ in 1992, and gained significant traction with ‘Ringmaster’ in 1994, which achieved gold certification.

Their album ‘The Amazing Jeckel Brothers’ (1999) marked a major milestone, reaching No. 4 on the Billboard charts and earning platinum certification. That same year, the group performed at Woodstock ’99, reaching a vast audience. Diversifying their creative endeavors, they released the feature film ‘Big Money Hustlas’ in 2000 and launched the first annual Gathering of the Juggalos, a large-scale music festival which has since attracted thousands of fans annually.

The group continued to evolve their iconic Joker’s Card narrative with ‘The Mighty Death Pop!’ (2012) and the double album ‘The Marvelous Missing Link: Lost’ and ‘The Marvelous Missing Link: Found’ in 2015. Insane Clown Posse released their album ‘Fearless Fred Fury’ in 2019, followed by ‘Yum Yum Bedlam’ in 2021, demonstrating their enduring artistic output and dedicated fanbase. Looking ahead, the group announced the highly anticipated 6th Joker’s Card, ‘The Naught,’ in 2024, with its official release slated for 2025. Through decades of consistent touring, acclaimed album releases, and a unique multimedia presence, Insane Clown Posse continues to be a formidable and compelling force in the music industry.
