Iris Stryx
Iris Stryx is an underground hip-hop singer, producer, and performer. Born in the Bahamas but currently operating out of Florida, she has released numerous well-received singles and one album, 2017’s Fire and Ice. Her most popular tracks to date include ‘Island Girl’ (1.9 million YouTube views), ‘Have a Good Time’ (1.3 million views), and ‘Get Loose’ (over 315,000 Spotify streams). She is all over her social media game and has over 150,000 followers across TikTok and Instagram.
Stryx’s distinctive sound fuses hip-hop beats with island instruments. She first started releasing music in the mid-2010s, uploading the results to her Soundcloud page. Her fresh sound caught on and her tracks began getting tens of thousands of plays (no mean feat on Soundcloud!) She dropped her debut single, ‘Island Girl’, in 2016 and it went big, getting nearly 2 million YouTube views and over 30,000 streams across other platforms. This paved the way for her debut album, Fire and Ice, which came out in 2017.
Since then, Stryx has continued to develop her sound and grow her audience, being loved by pop fans and musos alike. Among her most recent releases are the 2021 EP, Rebirth, and the popular single, ‘Get Loose’. She’s remained loyal to Soundcloud, and all of her releases always hit there first.
