Irma Makhinia secured an Olympic Winter Games silver medal in the Mixed Team Normal Hill HS106 event at Beijing 2022, marking a pivotal moment in her career. This followed a significant achievement in 2021, when she earned a silver medal at the FIS Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Lahti, Finland, for the Team Normal Hill event. Makhinia commenced her senior career competing in various FIS events, including the FIS Cup and Continental Cup circuits, gaining crucial experience in FIS Ski Jumping Summer Grand Prix and World Cup competitions.
