Jack Cutmore-Scott

Jack Cutmore-Scott was born on April 16, 1987, in Lambeth, London, England, to two accountants. He developed an early interest in theatre, taking a gap year after school to attend the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. During this time, he was also involved with the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, gaining early experience in theatrical productions. He then pursued higher education at Harvard University, where he studied English literature, languages, and theatre, further honing his craft and preparing for a career in acting. He started his acting career professionally at the age of 20.

Cutmore-Scott’s career includes a range of roles in notable film and television projects. He appeared in the 2014 film “Kingsman: The Secret Service” as Rufus Saville, and in Christopher Nolan’s 2017 war epic “Dunkirk” as Lifeboat Soldier 1. His collaboration with Nolan continued with a role as Klaus in the 2020 film “Tenet” and as Lyall Johnson in the 2023 film “Oppenheimer.” On television, he took on leading roles as Cooper Barrett in “Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life” (2016) and as Cameron and Jonathan Black in the ABC series “Deception” (2018). In “Deception,” he portrayed twin brothers, requiring him to learn magic tricks from illusionists David Kwong and Francis Menotti.

More recently, Cutmore-Scott has garnered attention for his role as Frederick “Freddy” Crane in the Paramount+ revival of the sitcom “Frasier,” which premiered in 2023 and continued into 2024 for 20 episodes. He also had a recurring role as Tripp Collier in the 2024 television series “Death and Other Details.” His stage work includes engagements such as playing Ken in John Logan’s play “RED” at the Public Theater in Pittsburgh in 2011, and major roles in Broadway productions like “Cyrano de Bergerac” and “Arcadia.” He also performed as Claudio in “Much Ado About Nothing” at Shakespeare in the Park, directed by Jack O’Brien.
