Jack Mcbrayer

Jack McBrayer was born on May 27, 1973, in Macon, Georgia, and later moved to Conyers, Georgia, at age 15. He pursued theater administration studies at the University of Evansville in Indiana. His career began in improvisational comedy, performing at The Second City and IO Theater in Chicago from 1995 to 2002. During this period, he connected with Tina Fey, a collaboration that would later significantly impact his career. From 2002 to 2004, McBrayer gained early television exposure through frequent appearances in sketches on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” often portraying Southern characters.

His breakthrough role came in 2006 as Kenneth Parcell in the NBC primetime comedy “30 Rock.” This role earned him an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series in 2009. He also starred in the “30 Rock” web series, “30 Rock: Kenneth the Webpage,” which received two Emmy nominations. Beyond his television work, McBrayer has featured in several films, including “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby” (2006), “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” (2008), “Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore” (2010), and “The Campaign” (2012). His voice acting credits include the character Fix-It Felix in Disney’s “Wreck-It Ralph” (2012) and its 2018 sequel, as well as the title character Wander in the Disney XD series “Wander Over Yonder” (2013-2016).

McBrayer has continued to expand his acting and hosting portfolio. He co-created and stars in “Hello, Jack! The Kindness Show” for Apple TV+ (2021), a series focused on positive social emotional learning for children. He also hosts the HGTV series “Zillow Gone Wild” (2024), where he explores unique and extravagant homes, showcasing his broad appeal in unscripted content. His career reflects a sustained presence in comedy, voice acting, and family-friendly entertainment, marked by consistent work across different media platforms.
