James Maddison

James Maddison is a prominent attacking midfielder known for his creativity and impactful play in the Premier League and for the England national team. After making his first-team debut for Coventry City in August 2014, James Maddison signed his first professional contract with the club in November of the same year. He transferred to Norwich City in February 2016, followed by loan spells back to Coventry and then with Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen in August 2016. Establishing himself as a pivotal player at Norwich during the 2017–18 season, Maddison earned the club’s Player of the Season award and a nomination for the EFL Championship Young Player of the Season.

His exceptional form led to a £20 million transfer to Premier League club Leicester City in June 2018, where he scored his first Premier League goal in August 2018 and was named Leicester City’s Young Player Of The Season for 2018-19. Maddison spent five impactful seasons with Leicester City, making significant contributions that included securing the FA Cup and the FA Community Shield with the club in 2021. Individually, he continued to garner recognition, earning the Premier League Goal of the Month in September 2020 and being named Leicester City’s Player of the Season for 2021–22. His consistent high-level performances led to a new four-year contract with Leicester in July 2020.

Looking ahead to the 2024-25 season, Maddison is set to feature prominently in Tottenham Hotspur’s UEFA Europa League campaign. Beyond the pitch, he leverages his platform for community engagement, actively supporting charitable endeavors including Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice and causes aiding children with cerebral palsy, demonstrating his commitment to positive social impact.
