A Super Bowl XLV Champion with the Green Bay Packers in 2011, James Starks established a notable career as an Football running back, culminating in an upcoming induction into the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame in 2025. Starks was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. After signing with the Packers in June 2010, he made his NFL debut on December 5, 2010, against the San Francisco 49ers. He was instrumental in the Packers’ Super Bowl XLV victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2011, rushing for 52 yards during the championship game.

In recognition of his consistent performance, he re-signed with the Packers in March 2016 for a two-year, $6 million deal. The 2016 season brought new challenges, including surgery for a torn meniscus in October and a concussion sustained in a car accident in December. He was subsequently released by the Packers on February 7, 2017, concluding his impactful NFL career. In recognition of his distinguished athletic accomplishments spanning his collegiate and professional career, James Starks was announced as an inductee into the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame in 2025.
