About

Jason Kelce was born on November 5, 1987, in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. He attended Cleveland Heights High School, where he excelled in multiple sports including football, hockey, and lacrosse, and also played the baritone saxophone. He then attended the University of Cincinnati, initially as a walk-on running back, before transitioning to fullback and later to the offensive line. During his college career at Cincinnati from 2006 to 2010, Kelce started positions at left guard and center, contributing to two Big East Conference championships and appearances in the FedEx Orange Bowl (2009) and the Allstate Sugar Bowl (2010). He earned second-team All-Big East honors in 2009 and 2010.

Kelce was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the sixth round (191st overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft. He quickly established himself as a durable and highly effective center, becoming the first rookie in Eagles history to start all 16 games at the position. His 13-year NFL career with the Eagles included a Super Bowl LII victory in 2018, seven Pro Bowl selections, and six First-team All-Pro honors, making him one of the most decorated offensive linemen in NFL history. He holds the Eagles record for most consecutive starts and was recognized as the highest-rated offensive lineman by Pro Football Focus in 2017. He announced his retirement from the NFL on March 4, 2024.

Beyond his football achievements, Jason Kelce has expanded his career into media and entertainment. Alongside his brother Travis Kelce, he co-hosts the “New Heights” podcast, which became the 8th most popular show on Apple Podcasts in 2024. He also joined ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown pregame crew in 2024 and is set to host a late-night sports talk show titled “They Call It Late Night with Jason Kelce” on ESPN in 2025. His other ventures include appearances in television shows like “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” and “Saturday Night Live,” the Amazon Prime Video documentary “Kelce” (2023), and collaborations on Christmas albums with his former Eagles teammates as “The Philly Specials.”
