Jocelyn “Jay” Devilliers, known as the “Flying Frenchman,” has made a remarkable impact in the world of pickleball. Originally from Rosny-Sous-Bois, France, Jay’s athletic journey began with a passion for various sports, including soccer and tennis. After moving to Barcelona to pursue tennis, he faced a significant challenge when a severe injury halted his professional aspirations. However, this setback led him to Wichita State University, where he embraced a new chapter in his life, ultimately discovering pickleball in 2019.
Since turning professional in 2020, Jay has quickly risen through the ranks, achieving impressive PPA rankings in Men’s Singles, Doubles, and Mixed Doubles. His dedication to the sport is evident in his numerous tournament victories, including multiple gold medals at prestigious events like the APP Cincinnati Open and the PPA Championship. Jay’s vibrant personality and trademark “come on!” have made him a fan favorite, captivating audiences with his energetic play and positive demeanor on the court.
Beyond his competitive success, Jay is committed to growing pickleball in France, serving as an ambassador for the French Pickleball Federation. His multilingual abilities allow him to connect with fans and fellow players worldwide, further enhancing his role as a global ambassador for the sport.
Off the court, Jay enjoys traveling with his wife, Aleksandra, and their three sons, embracing new cultures and experiences.
