Jennifer Brien was born and raised in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. Prior to her career in radio, she served six years in the Army Military Police (MP) K-9 Unit. Her media journey began with hosting roles on various radio stations. Brien’s professional experience includes hosting shows on WCOD-FM and WXTK in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and WHAM in Rochester, New York.

Brien gained prominence as a talk radio host in Providence, Rhode Island. She co-hosted a weekday morning talk show on WHJJ in Providence with Ron St. Pierre. She also hosted her own show on WRKO in Boston, Massachusetts, which ran from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on weekdays until June 2012. Following this, she was named the permanent replacement for Steve Leveille on WBZ in Boston, hosting ‘The Jen Brien Show’ on weekends from midnight-5:00 a.m., starting June 25, 2013. This engagement concluded in October 2013, as WBZ re-evaluated its overnight programming.

In 2021, Jennifer Brien co-launched a podcast titled “Ron and Jen’s Great Escape” with Ron St. Pierre, marking a transition into digital audio content.
