Jerry Kill is a distinguished Football coach currently serving as the special assistant to the head coach at Texas Christian University (TCU). His coaching journey began at Saginaw Valley State University, where he made an immediate impact by leading the team to five consecutive winning seasons, including back-to-back 9-2 records in 1997 and 1998. Under his leadership, the team excelled in rushing offense, ranking first in NCAA Division II during his final two years.
Following his success at Saginaw Valley, Kill took the helm at Emporia State University, where he maintained a balanced record of 11-11 over two seasons. His next significant role was at Southern Illinois University, where he transformed the program into a competitive force, culminating in a remarkable 2007 season that saw the team reach the NCAA playoffs. Kill’s career continued to ascend as he became the head coach at Northern Illinois University and later the University of Minnesota.
