Jerry Kill is a highly respected football coach, known for his ability to revitalize struggling programs and his advocacy for health awareness. His career encompasses numerous team turnarounds, a national championship, and significant community involvement, making him a compelling figure for sports and wellness-focused partnerships. After contributing to two DII championship game appearances, including a national title win in 1991 as offensive and defensive coordinator at Pittsburg State, Jerry Kill went on to establish a distinguished reputation for revitalizing football programs. His early coaching career also included a successful two-year stint as head coach at Webb City (Mo.) High School, where he secured a state championship in 1989 with an impressive 25-1 record.
Transitioning to various administrative and coaching roles, Kill served as associate athletics director at Kansas State, offensive coordinator at Rutgers, and director of athletics at Southern Illinois. He joined TCU in 2020 as a special assistant to the head coach, later stepping in as interim head coach in 2021. From 2022 to 2023, he led New Mexico State as head coach, guiding the team to a Quick Lane Bowl victory in his first season and a New Mexico Bowl appearance in his second, earning him the C-USA Coach of the Year honor in 2023. Currently, Kill is a consultant at Vanderbilt, continuing to contribute his extensive knowledge to the sport.
Throughout his distinguished career, he has also been a passionate advocate for health awareness, establishing the Coach Kill Fund and the Chasing Dreams Coach Kill Epilepsy Fund.
