Jessica Washington

Jessica Washington was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She pursued her collegiate basketball career starting with the North Carolina Tar Heels, playing for two seasons between 2013 and 2015. During her freshman year (2013-14), she appeared in all 37 games, making 13 starts, and averaged 5.4 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game. She recorded seven double-digit scoring efforts and led the team in assists in 11 contests. Her sophomore season (2014-15) saw her play in all 35 games, averaging 7.3 points and 2.4 rebounds, ranking fourth on the team in scoring and third in three-point shooting. She scored a career-high 20 points against Clemson during the 2015 ACC Tournament.

Following her time at North Carolina, Washington transferred to the University of Kansas. She sat out the 2015-16 season due to NCAA transfer rules. In the 2016-17 season, as a redshirt-junior, she was named the Big 12 Conference Newcomer of the Year and recognized as Big 12 Player of the Week for the week of January 16. She played in 29 games with 26 starts, averaging 17.0 points and 4.1 rebounds per game, and led the Big 12 with 19.3 points per game in league action. She netted double-figure scoring efforts in 16 of 18 Big 12 games and totaled 22 double-digit scoring efforts, including 10 games with 20 or more points and two with 30 or more points. Her career-high of 36 points came against Iowa State on February 21. She connected on 61 three-pointers, ranking fourth most by a Jayhawk junior and eighth most in a single season. The 2017-18 season was missed due to a knee injury. She returned for the 2018-19 season, earning Big 12 Player of the Week honors twice and being named the Desert Division MVP at the Duel in the Desert Tournament. She played in 16 games, making 13 starts, and averaged 13.9 points per game, reaching double-digit scoring in 12 of those games and shooting 40.4 percent from behind the three-point line.

Post-collegiate basketball, Washington signed her first professional deal overseas, playing in Greece for Sporting WBC. In parallel with her athletic career, she has transitioned into other professional endeavors, including co-founding FMF Vegas, an enterprise spanning entertainment, technology, media, and marketing. She also holds the role of National Program Director for UNL, where she was recognized as “Team Spark of the Month.” She is also an influencer and has used platforms like Cameo for personalized fan engagements.
