Joe Keery is best known for his role in the 2017sci-fi/horror series Stranger Things. Portraying the popular high schoolstudent Steve Harrington, Keery was asked to become series regular for theirsecond season and has since become one of the show’s central characters.

Graduate of The Theatre School of DePaul University, JoeKeery attended well over a hundred auditions including features in KFC,Domino’s and Amiibo commercials. Receiving his acting break as an extra in USANetwork’s 2014 comedy series Sirens, Keery was cast in 2 episodes of the 2012firefighter action/documentary series Chicago Fire, before landing a briefappearance in an episode of hip-hop drama Empire. Keery’s first majorappearance in a movie came with the portrayal of Gabe on Stephen Cone’s teendrama Henry Gamble’s Birthday Party, a film that was recognised with awards atthe Sidewalk and Chicago International Film Festivals.

Aside from his career as an actor, Keery is a talentedguitarist, playing in Chicago-based garage and psych-rock band Post Animals.Their eclectic sound has been described as “if Tame Impala listened to a lot ofBlack Sabbath, and were signed to Elephant 6” by the Chicago Tribune. Morerecently, Keery has featured in crime caper Beef, and action comedy Free Guy,alongside Ryan Reynolds.
