Joel David Moore is a versatile American actor and director recognized for his roles in major films and his growing portfolio as a filmmaker. After gaining initial recognition through appearances in national television commercials for brands such as eBay, Cingular Wireless, and Best Buy, alongside an international campaign for Siemens’ XELIBRI phones which earned a Lion Award, Joel David Moore went on to secure his first major film role in ‘Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story’ (2004) as Owen Dittman. His acting career quickly gained momentum with subsequent roles as J.P. in ‘Grandma’s Boy’ (2006), Bardo in ‘Art School Confidential’ (2006), and a lead role in the independent slasher film ‘Hatchet’ (2006).

Moore continued to build his directing portfolio with diverse projects, including the critically acclaimed drama ‘Youth in Oregon’ (2016), a remake of the suspense thriller ‘Hide and Seek’ (2021), and the psycho-drama ‘Some Other Woman’ (2023). Demonstrating his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to content creation, Moore co-founded Balcony 9 in 2019, a production studio dedicated to developing film and television projects.
