Jonathan Anh Juzang, born on March 17, 2001, in Los Angeles, California, began his basketball career at Harvard-Westlake School. He averaged 16.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, and two assists in his freshman year, leading his team to a CIF Southern Section Division 1A championship. As a sophomore, he further developed his skills, averaging 22.8 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game. In his junior season, Juzang was named the Mission League’s most valuable player, averaging 23 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 3.4 assists, and helped Harvard-Westlake secure its first league title since 2011. He reclassified from the 2020 class to the 2019 class to play college basketball earlier, committing to Kentucky in May 2019 after being a four-star recruit.

Juzang played his freshman year (2019-2020) at the University of Kentucky, primarily in a limited role behind key players, averaging 2.9 points in 12.4 minutes per game. He then transferred to UCLA, where he truly made his mark. In his sophomore season (2020-2021) with UCLA, he became a standout player, earning second-team All-Pac-12 honors. He was instrumental in UCLA’s run to the Final Four in the 2021 NCAA tournament, scoring 28 points in a significant win against Michigan and 29 points in the national semifinal against Gonzaga. He was named to the 2021 All-Tournament Team.

Despite injuries in his junior season (2021-2022), Juzang remained UCLA’s leading scorer, earning third-team All-American honors from the NABC and first-team All-Pac-12 recognition. He also reached the Sweet Sixteen of the 2022 NCAA tournament. Undrafted in the 2022 NBA Draft, Juzang signed a two-way contract with the Utah Jazz, where he played until 2025, including a four-year contract signed in August 2024. He later joined the Minnesota Timberwolves on a one-year contract in August 2025, continuing his professional career.
