Johnny Knox

Johnny Knox transitioned from a dynamic NFL wide receiver and return specialist to a coaching intern, and now contributes to high school football programs. After setting an Abilene Christian University school record with 17 touchdown receptions in 2007, Johnny Knox went on to an impactful professional football career before transitioning into coaching. Knox first demonstrated his collegiate athletic prowess at Tyler Junior College, where in 2006, he led all junior college receivers with 884 yards and 12 touchdowns. Transferring to Abilene Christian University, he continued to excel, recording 62 receptions for 1,158 yards and a school-record 17 touchdowns in his 2007 season, finishing third in Division II for touchdown receptions.

Following extensive rehabilitation, he announced his retirement from professional football in 2013. Demonstrating resilience and a continued passion for the sport, Knox transitioned into coaching, beginning as a coaching intern for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2015. In 2018, Knox further committed to developing future talent by joining the football staff at Carmel High School. He continues to leverage his extensive experience as a dynamic NFL wide receiver and return specialist to contribute to high school football programs, focusing on player development and strategic guidance for aspiring athletes.
