Jordan Klepper

Jordan Klepper was born on March 9, 1979, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He attended Kalamazoo Central High School and the Kalamazoo Area Mathematics and Science Center, excelling as a tennis player and a member of the Mock Trial Team. He later received a full-tuition scholarship to Kalamazoo College, graduating in 2001 with a double major in math and theater. During his time at Kalamazoo College, he studied abroad in London, broadening his educational experiences.

After completing his education, Klepper moved to Chicago, where he began his comedy career performing at The Second City. While there, he also worked on the Big Ten Network show *Big Ten Friday Night Tailgate*. In 2011, he relocated to New York City and became a member of the Upright Citizens Brigade, further honing his comedic skills. His career advanced significantly when he joined *The Daily Show* as a correspondent on March 3, 2014, where he gained recognition for his segments and filled in as host in October 2016.

Building on his success, Comedy Central announced in April 2017 that Klepper would host his own satirical program, *The Opposition with Jordan Klepper*, which premiered on September 25, 2017. A special titled *Jordan Klepper Solves Guns* also premiered in June 2017. Though *The Opposition* concluded in June 2018, Klepper subsequently starred in the docuseries *Klepper* in 2019. He later returned to *The Daily Show* in December 2019 as a contributor and eventually a rotating host, known for his “Jordan Klepper Fingers the Pulse” segments. In 2021, he also took on his first voice acting role as Pete McGee in the Disney Channel animated series *The Ghost and Molly McGee*.
