Jordan Subban is a professional ice hockey defenceman who plays in the American Hockey League (AHL) for the Hershey Bears. Subban is the youngest of three brothers who have all been drafted into the NHL, the others being New Jersey Devils defenseman P.K. Subban and Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Malcom Subban. Subban has played more than 230 career AHL games with the Toronto Marlies, Ontario Reign and the Utica Comets and in 2017 was selected to the AHL All-Star Classic after ranking third among defensemen.
Hailing from Toronto, Canadan, Subban began his career with a three-year entry-level contract with Canucks in 2015, and following their 2015-16 training camp he signed to the Utica Comets to start his professional career. Subban racked up 11 and goals and 25 assists in his first season, but it was the following season where the young defenceman made a real impact and was named an AHL All-Star. His first stint in the NHL came in 2017 before being exchanged to the Los Angeles Kings.
In 2018 Subban signed for the Toronto Maple Leafs and racked up 18 points in 48 games with the Toronto Marlies of the AHL during the 2018-19 season. The following season he became the top scoring defender with Dornbirn EC in the EBEL, and in 2021 signed for his latest club, the Hersey Bears. Away from the ice, Subban is the founder of ethical online marketplace Ujimaa.
