Juan Pablo Di Pace

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Juan Pablo Di Pace is an actor, musician, and director who has lived in various international cities including London, Trieste, Madrid, and the US. He gained significant recognition for his portrayal of Jesus Christ in “A.D. The Bible Continues” (2015), produced by Mark Burnett and Roma Downey, which earned him a Grace Award for “Most Inspiring Performance” in 2016. Concurrently, Di Pace starred as the self-made billionaire Nicolás Treviño in the 2014 TNT reboot of “Dallas.” His film appearances include “Mamma Mia!” (2008), and he is widely known for his role as Fernando in Netflix’s “Fuller House,” which received multiple awards and an Emmy nomination.

Before his success on screen, Di Pace established a career in musical theatre, performing in London’s “Chicago” and taking on leading roles in productions such as “Grease” (Italy, 1999), “Saturday Night Fever” (Madrid, 2009-2010), and “Más de 100 Mentiras” (Madrid, 2012). His television work spans British productions like BBC One’s “The Catherine Tate Show” and “Aftersun,” as well as Spanish series including “Supercharly” and “Física o Química.” As a director, he has written and helmed several short films, such as “La Belleza,” “Venki,” and “Admission.” In 2024, Di Pace notably co-directed, wrote, and starred in the film “Before We Forget” (originally titled “Duino”), an LGBTQ+ coming-of-age story that was executive produced by Norman Lear. This film premiered at the Frameline Film Festival and won “Best International Feature” at the Rio LGBTQIA+ Festival Internacional de Cinema.

Di Pace’s artistic versatility also extends to music; he has performed with the Houston Symphony Orchestra in a tribute to George Michael and has collaborated with songwriters such as Diane Warren and Nick Gale. In 2018, he captivated audiences as a contestant on the 27th season of “Dancing with the Stars” alongside Cheryl Burke, where they consistently achieved high scores and earned five perfect scores despite a controversial semi-final elimination. In March 2019, he publicly came out as gay during a TEDx talk titled “The Story of Your Life” at the United World College Maastricht in The Netherlands, sharing his personal journey with a global audience.
