Julian Eberhard is a professional biathlete, who has built a name for himself representing Austria. Over the course of his career, he has represented Austria in six World Championships, countless Biathlon World Cup seasons, gained a Red Bull sponsorship, and even competed at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympic Games. Athleticism runs in his family, as his brother Tobias Eberhard is also a professional biathlete who competed in the Olympic Winter Games, the same year as him.
Eberhard began his skiing career at a young age alongside his older brother, which gave him the healthy dose of competition he needed to develop skills as a biathlete. In 2004, Eberhard started racing in numerous international youth competitions and started building a reputation around his name due to his solid performance at the 2005 World Youth Championship in Kontiolahti, Finland. Eberhard secured his first spot on a podium when he took home silver in the relay event at the European Junior Championships in Bansko. Today, both of the Eberhard brothers are representing Austria on the country’s official biathlon team, led by the former biathlete superstar, Alfred Eder. Working with Eder has greatly improved Eberhard’s accuracy and agility, and Eberhard seems to constantly revamp his performances. In 2018 he showcased his newfound training by securing 2nd place at the IBU Biathlon World Cup event in Kontiolahti, Finland. The next year, he placed 2nd at the IBU World Cup event in Ruhpolding, Germany.
