Juliane Seyfarth, born on February 19, 1990, in Eisenach, East Germany, began her ski jumping career in 2000. She attended the sports high school Oberhof in 2003, laying the foundation for her professional athletic pursuits. Seyfarth quickly made her mark, making her debut in the Continental Cup, the highest level of women’s ski jumping, on July 23, 2004, where she placed 13th in Park City.
Her early career highlights include becoming the first official junior world champion in ski jumping on February 5, 2006, after winning the women’s competition at the 2006 Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Kranj. Over the years, Seyfarth has consistently performed at a high level, securing 15 top-three finishes in the Continental Cup, with seven individual wins and seven second-place results. She represents the WSC 07 Ruhla club and has been a prominent figure for Germany in various international competitions.
Seyfarth has achieved notable successes at the World Championships, earning two gold medals in 2019 at Seefeld in the Team Normal Hill and Mixed Team Normal Hill events.
