Justin Moore was born on April 12, 2000, in Washington, D.C. He attended DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Maryland, where his basketball career began. Early in his high school career, he suffered a torn ACL during his sophomore season. Despite this setback, he returned to average 16.6 points per game as a junior. In his senior year, he averaged 18.2 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 4.1 assists, leading his team to back-to-back Maryland Private School Tournament state titles. He was recognized as the Maryland Gatorade Player of the Year and Washington Catholic Athletic Conference Co-Player of the Year. Moore also played AAU basketball for Team Takeover, winning the 2019 EYBL Nike Peach Jam, and was invited to the 2019 Nike Hoop Summit. He committed to Villanova for his college career, choosing them over offers from other notable programs.

Moore’s collegiate career at Villanova spanned five seasons, marked by both achievements and injury recovery periods. As a freshman in 2019, he led all Big East freshmen in scoring with 11.3 points per game and was a five-time Big East Freshman of the Week selection, earning a unanimous spot on the Big East All-Freshman Team. He continued to develop, averaging 12.9 points and 4.1 rebounds per game as a sophomore, helping Villanova reach the Sweet 16. His junior year in 2021-22 saw him average 14.8 points per game and contribute to Villanova’s run to the NCAA Final Four in 2022. He was named Second Team All-BIG EAST and First Team All-Philadelphia Big Five. The end of this season was impacted by a tear in his right Achilles tendon, requiring surgery. After a lengthy recovery, he returned in January 2023 for his senior season, averaging 13.5 points over 13 games. He utilized his fifth year of eligibility in 2023-24, despite a right knee sprain, and helped the Wildcats in the BIG EAST Tournament with a game-winning 3-pointer.

Following his distinguished college career, Moore transitioned to professional basketball. After going undrafted in the 2024 NBA draft, he joined the Milwaukee Bucks for the 2024 NBA Summer League. He later signed with the Wisconsin Herd of the NBA G League in December 2024, after brief stints with the Indiana Mad Ants and Osceola Magic. Throughout his collegiate career, Moore amassed 1,665 points in 134 games, ranking 16th all-time in Villanova program history. He also recorded 319 assists and 522 rebounds, demonstrating his all-around contribution to his teams. His journey reflects consistent effort and resilience in overcoming physical challenges while maintaining a strong performance record.
