Kaden Elliss is a linebacker for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL). Born on July 10th, 1995, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Elliss grew up with Football as a major part of his life. His father, Luther Elliss, was a two-time Pro Bowler who played defensive tackle for the Detroit Lions during his time in the NFL.
Elliss attended Judge Memorial Catholic High School in Salt Lake City, where he was a two-way player, excelling on both sides of the ball. Elliss was rated a four-star prospect by ESPN and was ranked the No. 1 prospect in Utah in the 2014 class. He ultimately committed to play college Football at the University of Idaho, where he made an immediate impact as a freshman.
During his college career at Idaho, Elliss earned numerous accolades, including being named first-team All-Sun Belt Conference in both 2017 and 2018. In his senior season, Elliss recorded 60 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, and three sacks. His performance earned him an invitation to the East-West Shrine Game, where he showcased his skills in front of NFL scouts.
In the 2019 NFL Draft, the Atlanta Falcons selected Elliss in the seventh round with the 244th overall pick. He played in 10 games as a rookie, mostly on special teams, and recorded three tackles. In the 2020 season, Elliss played in all 16 games and started six of those. He tallied 41 tackles, two sacks, and two forced fumbles.
Elliss is a versatile linebacker who can play both inside and outside positions. He is known for his explosiveness, agility, and quick decision-making on the field. With his work ethic, discipline and resilience, Elliss has become an important part of the Falcons linebacker corps. Off the field, Elliss is heavily involved in community service, including working with the Atlanta Falcons’ Hometown Huddle program, which promotes healthy lifestyles and fitness in local communities.
